For the past 25 years, Women Awake Organization has passionately championed the empowerment of Nigerian women and girls. As a registered non-governmental organization, our mission is crystal clear: to transform Nigerian women into self-sufficient individuals and dynamic job creators.

Empowering Women, Empowering Communities

We’ve dedicated ourselves to fostering empowerment through various initiatives for women and children across Nigeria. We strongly believe that when you uplift women and the girl child, you construct a resilient society poised to defy vulnerabilities.

Our Allies and Advocacy

Central to our mission is forging robust partnerships with key government bodies, notably the Federal and State Ministries of Women Affairs and Education. International and local organisations like UNESCO, UNWOMEN and others. Through these alliances, we amplify the voices of women, ensuring their concerns and needs are met.

Standing Against Abuse

Our commitment extends to protecting the girl child from all forms of abuse, including Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and other harmful practices. We advocate and intervene to ensure a safer and more equitable environment for every woman and girl child in Nigeria.
